Abstrak

The article explores the linguistic and sociocultural dimensions of commissive speech acts in English. It delves into the pragmatic aspects of promises, commitments, and offers, examining how language structures and cultural norms shape these communicative acts. Through a comprehensive analysis of linguistic markers, speech strategies, and cultural contexts, this study sheds light on the intricacies of commissive speech acts in English discourse, providing valuable insights for intercultural communication and language teaching practices.
